The swift brush of Sergey Poliakov (Son) belongs to impressionism, but the realist school persists. So his landscapes have air, his flowers have smell, his food scenes have taste. The viewer of his ephemeral works can feel the weight of metal, the coolness of water, the softness of fur, the texture of fabric, the warmth of skin.
